Our department served in seven rooms, the operating rooms where Cardiovascular Surgery (CVC), Neurosurgery, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Plastic Surgery, Eye, ENT, Orthopedics, Pediatric Surgery, Urology and General Surgery operations were performed in the hospital building in Beşevler until 1996. With the opening of the new hospital building in 1996, our Department has continued and continues its services in 23 centers in all surgical branches, 3 CVC-Thoracic Surgery and 2 Obstetrics-Gynecology Operating Rooms, Reanimation Intensive Care Department, Algology (Pain) Department and all hospital units where external anesthesia is required.

There are 12-bed Reanimation Intensive Care rooms, 28 operating rooms, pain (algology) unit and units where procedures requiring anesthesia are performed within our Department. 19 Faculty Members, 4 Lecturers, 29 Research Assistants, 49 Operating Room Nurses, 1 Biologist, 42 Anesthesia Technicians, 16 Intensive Care Nurses, 2 Pain Unit Nurses and 1 Health Technician are working staff members of the Department.

Services

General and regional anesthesia is applied in all rooms of our operating rooms, depending on the type of surgery.

In our Reanimation Intensive Care Unit, patient follow-up is carried out where the developments in medicine and technology are combined with practice.

Multidisciplinary pain treatment service continues in our Algology (Pain) Department.

Stone Breaking Unit, Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, Child and Adult Endoscopic Gastroenterology Unit, Assisted Reproduction Techniques – IVF Unit

Non-operating room anesthesia services are provided during interventions such as cardioversion, ECT and pediatric EEG.

“Painless Birth” service is provided at the ninth Floor Obstetrics Service of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department.
