The Department of Medical Pathology began operating in 1980. In our department 7 professors, 3 professors, 1 assistant professor, 9 research assistants, 1 biologist, 9 tissue technicians, 5 secretary, 2 employees are still working. Approximately 34,000 biopsies, 13,500 swabs, and 1,100 emergency biopsies are performed annually.
